We are now looking for a Final Assembly Engineer to join our team in Oulu, Finland. The Final Assembly Engineer is a crucial part of our team, responsible for managing the operations and production processes in the Final Assembly area. This role plays a key role in creating and implementing methods and processes for new product development and technology advancements. As a Final Assembly Engineer, you will work closely with product programs globally and locally, evaluating and implementing new manufacturing equipment and machinery solutions. You will also analyze manufacturing problems and execute corrective actions as needed, while influencing product design through the Design for Excellence (DfX) process.
This role is part of our Automation and Industrial Engineering team, where we focus on optimizing our production to meet customer demands. We apply the latest concepts and technologies to drive innovation and boost productivity and flexibility in our manufacturing network. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As part of our team, you will:
- Manage and optimize final assembly operations within the production function
- Implement and develop methods and processes to improve efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate on product programs and contribute to Design for Final Assembly (DFFA) work
- Plan and adjust manufacturing line layout and capacity to meet production requirements
- Evaluate and implement new manufacturing equipment and machinery solutions
- Analyze manufacturing problems and execute corrective actions
- Influence product design through the Design for Excellence (DfX) process
- Support a team of engineers in achieving together a manufacturing goals
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
- Mechanical design competence with 3D modeler (Creo & Windchill)
- Knowledge of production tools, methods of development, and Design for Excellence (DfX)
- Working experience in the telecommunications or electronics industry
- Strong understanding of the production environment and processes
- Positive problem-solving attitude
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Self-driven and result-oriented attitude
- Excellent written and spoken English and Finnish
It would be nice if you also had:
- Understanding of both general product development and industrialization processes
- Production automation and robotics skills
