Introduction
We are seeking a Global Sourcing Manager to join our team in the Services BA! The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies to optimize the procurement process, reduce costs, and improve overall supplier performance. This role involves analyzing the supply chain, identifying opportunities for cost savings, negotiating contracts, and managing relationships with suppliers. In this position, you will report to Sourcing Director, Crushing Spare Products.
Our Crushing Business Line is located in Tampere and Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that this position includes around 30-40% of global travel.
What you'll do
- Sourcing Strategy Development
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
- Analyze the supply chain and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation and collaboration with suppliers.
- Continuously monitor and assess supplier performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Contract Negotiation
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Draft and review contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and quality assurance, to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide input into product development processes to ensure cost-effective sourcing of materials.
- Supplier Management
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on their capabilities, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality goods and services.
- Risk Management
- Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including geopolitical, economic, and environmental factors.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Market Analysis
- Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies that may impact the sourcing strategy.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify new suppliers and opportunities for innovation.
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) mare considered an advantage
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and sourcing.
- Proficiency in using sourcing and procurement software.
