We are looking for a Head of Group Sourcing in Helsinki/Rovaniemi

Our Head of Group Sourcing will get to work in a Sourcing team, with professional colleagues. The job is a good fit for a person, who is proactive and has hands-on approach towards problem resolution. The Head of Group Sourcing is accountable for delivering, planning, scaling, and developing sourcing services within Lappset Group.

Main Accountabilities

• Leading a team of professionals: Lead and coordinate the efforts of a team of professionals to deliver high-quality results and meet strategic objectives.
• Sourcing Capabilities Development: Maintain and develop sourcing capabilities, including skills, processes, and tools, to ensure timely manufacturing and 3rd party product distribution within the Lappset network.
• Supplier Network Management: Ensure the supplier network meets business needs and performance targets. Maintain high standards of supplier performance to meet market requirements.
• Interface Process Development: Actively develop and contribute to interface processes with other group functions such as Production Planning, Product Management, and Sales. 
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the budgeting process and own the material price forecasts for key materials.

• KPIs will be established as the role develops.

To succeed in this position, following key competencies are required:

• Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills for leading and developing a team of professionals.
• Contract Negotiation: Proven track record of handling various contract negotiations, from long-term frame agreements to one-off contracts.
• Sourcing Strategies & Tactics: Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of sourcing strategies and tactics.
• Global Sourcing Processes: Experience in global sourcing processes and managing supplier performance in a global manufacturing environment.
• Global Trading & Logistics: Expertise in global trading and logistics processes and operations.
• Conceptual Thinking: Strong conceptual thinking skills and the ability to communicate complex systems effectively.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: High knowledge of budgeting and forecasting methods with a strong process mindset.
• Customer Management: Good management skills for both internal and external customers.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English. Finnish language skills are beneficial.

In addition, these are beneficial attributes:

• Educational Background: Degree in a relevant field such as Economics or Engineering.
• Product Management Knowledge: Experience or knowledge of product management.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to various situations.
• Process Development: Experience in process development.
