eBrands is looking for a Lead Developer to lead and manage our technical team of 4 and help drive our software platform to the next level. You will report directly to the Founder/CEO.
eBrands is a technology company focused on expanding and growing beloved consumer brands through e-commerce and major retail channels across the US and Europe. We specialize in scaling both our own and third-party brands through our brand expansion platform, think Export as a Service. By leveraging data-driven strategies, creative solutions, and AI technology, we optimize brand performance and enhance supply chain efficiency. Our platform consolidates, analyzes, and forecasts data from multiple sources, offering a comprehensive view of business performance. It also enables our partners to efficiently manage their operations with us. It serves as an integration layer between our in-house software, and 3rd party SAAS products. It is a key part of our business, helping us to efficiently manage +30m in Revenue, +1M orders per year, and 1000+ products across a global supply chain and sales channels.
You will be working with a team of great other software developers and data engineers to build integrations and services that help us utilize data in the best possible way.
We are using a modern technology stack on AWS; using services including EventBridge, Lambda, Redshift, SageMaker and OpenSearch. We would like you to have experience of managing technical projects, as well as hands-on experience of working with integrations, data pipelines and event driven architectures in a cloud environment.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Managing the roadmap and backlog for our platform
- Managing the technical team
- Advising non-technical stakeholders on technical matters
- Identifying trends, metrics and useful insights that can help the business
- Investigate and find new data sources to improve reporting and forecasting
- Design and plan new integrations
- Developing our AWS Infrastructure using the CDK library (Typescript)
- Building and maintaining services that can connect to data sources and process this data efficiently and reliably (Typescript)
- Work with teams from sales, marketing and logistics to plan requirements (i.e what data is needed, where it is collected from, frequency, and reporting output)
This is a hybrid position based in our Helsinki office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience managing a technical team
- Previous experience managing technical projects
- Previous working experience in a hands-on development role
- An ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience working with AWS or other public cloud providers
- Experience with IAC
- Strong Typescript skills
- Strong SQL skills
- A good understanding of performance, scalability and security
- Industry experience of eCommerce is a big bonus
