International school of Vantaa is looking for Biology and Geography teacher. 

International School of Vantaa is a unified comprehensive school of over 660 pupils covering grades 1-9, where the language of instruction is English. The pupils' home language is English, or their level of English competence is high for other reasons. The pupils are selected on the basis of a language test.

The International School of Vantaa is looking for a teacher of Biology and Geography whose mother tongue is English or who has successfully passed the top level of the National Certificate of Language Proficiency test in the English language. We value Finnish language skills. 

The qualification requirements are higher university degree and subject-teacher qualification in the subjects in question (decree 986/1998). If the degree has been taken outside Finland, the applicant shall present an equivalent qualification approved by the Finnish National Board of Education.

The school's syllabus is based on the national basic education curriculum principles. The school's goal is to produce pupils with versatile general knowledge and good behaviour and who are able to operate in an international environment.

Our school is located at Kartanonkoski, Helsinki Region Transport zone B, and is quickly accessible. Buses from e.g. Sörnäinen metro station take about 25 minutes. The school building is also home to a city library and an English-language nursery school.

Kelpoisuusvaatimus: Opetustoimen henkilöstön kelpoisuusvaatimuksista annetun asetuksen 986/1998 mukainen kelpoisuus.

Kelpoisuusvaatimuksen lisäksi edellytämme: Mother tongue is English or who has successfully passed the top level of the National Certificate of Language Proficiency test in the English language .

Palvelussuhteen ehdot määräytyvät Kunnallisen opetushenkilöstön virka- ja työehtosopimuksen (OVTES) mukaisesti.

Palkkaus: OVTES. At ISV you can receive an extra payment for teaching in English which is 164,89 euros/month.
