The job
At Columbia Road, we build seamless and commercially effective customer journeys that create impact. In this role, you will get to work at the core of our clients’ businesses; advising, designing and implementing the tech needed to drive the business forward. Your projects range from marketing automation activities to setting up analytics and tagging frameworks or optimising clients’ digital campaigns.
You have an innovative mindset toward delivering business value and have already gained hands-on experience in some of the following: marketing automation, CRM technologies, customer data management and activation (e.g. CDP technologies), customer data analytics. We also value experience in technical SEO, performance marketing, front-end development and web analytics. We don’t expect you to know it all, but value a curious attitude towards tackling challenging tasks and diving into previously unfamiliar tools.
You’ll get to work together with other Columbia Road consultants in multi-disciplinary teams, building and growing new digital businesses for our customers in various business domains. This means you may collaborate daily with developers, designers, strategy consultants, as well as our clients' stakeholders and specialists. You will always have a world-class team of digital sales experts available to support and mentor you on your learning journey.
Requirements aka. here's how you know you're a good fit
- You are a student in the final stage of your studies or a recent graduate
- You have gained some work experience related to marketing automation, CRM technologies, customer data management and activation (e.g. CDP technologies) or customer data analytics
- You are self-driven, proactive and want to continuously learn new things. You have an interest in marketing technologies and also understand the technical side of tools.
- You would love to work with challenging client cases supported by a diverse community of digital sales professionals, and your motivation comes from creating measurable business results rather than just technically or visually excellent work.
- You are comfortable communicating matters related to your own work and enjoy collaboration in an agile environment. You can bring clarity to uncertain and chaotic situations.
- You are looking for a workplace where you get to grow professionally and where you get a lot of responsibility.

- You have professional proficiency in Finnish and English
To succeed in this role, you'll need hands-on experience in at least one of these:
- Marketing Automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot), Marketo, Microsoft Customer Insights)
- CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot)
- Customer Data Platforms (e.g. Salesforce Data Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CDP, Bloomreach, Klavioy, Custobar)
- Web analytics and communicating data insights (e.g. Google Analytics, Looker Studio, BI tools)
- Experience in utilizing customer data from various sources (CRM, CDP, DMP)
Hands-on experience in the following is considered a bonus, but not required:
- Tag management (e.g. Google Tag Manager)
- CRO
- A/B testing
- Service, graphic, and/or UX/UI design
- Front-end development, e.g. HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript
- AI prompt engineering
- Copywriting
- Technical SEO with an understanding of the content side as well
- Performance marketing (e.g. Google Ads, paid social, display advertising)
- Data analyst or data engineer skills, such as SQL and Python, statistics, mathematics or econometrics or machine learning
Tip: Make sure you showcase your experience and knowledge as clearly as possible in your application, resume and attachments. We value examples and results from previous projects, and we'd love to know what concrete marketing tools you used to get those results.
Please note: We value close and constant collaboration in our teamwork – whether it’s with customers, fellow Roadies and/or consultants from other companies – as it enables us to learn from each other and work more efficiently towards a shared goal. Often this is achieved best by working from the same location. Hence, we can only consider candidates who live (or plan to move) within commuting distance of Helsinki or Tampere.

Recruitment process
The deadline for applications is November 24th, 2024 (Sunday). After sending your application, you can expect to hear back from us by November 29th at latest, and you will be notified of the status of your application at each stage. The interview process consists of a short video phase during the last week of November and one interview round in early December. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
Timing
The Associate Program is a full-time extended summer job. Optimally you would start full-time or part-time already in spring, as most summer roadies have done in previous years. The start date and possible holidays during the summer will be discussed and set together with the selected candidates. After the summer, if expectations have been met from both sides, there's a possibility to continue part-time while you finish your studies (or full-time if you're graduating).
