Parts Lifecycle Intelligence Manager

As a Parts Lifecycle Intelligence Manager, you will play a critical role in defining and implementing the lifecycle processes for Kalmar spare parts.

Your primary focus will be on providing insights, data and support to ensure that the key stakeholders receive the needed input for each phase of the parts lifecycle.

In this role, you will leverage data analytics, market trends, and life cycle analysis to make informed decisions on parts inventory management, sourcing strategies, and predictive maintenance needs.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • MTBF Analysis: Develop and maintain Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) metrics for parts. Analyse data to identify trends and implement strategies to improve Parts and Logistics impact on customer machine reliability
  • Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM): Lead initiatives to establish and enhance RCM processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RCM principles into maintenance strategies
  • Lifecycle Management Processes: Establish and document lifecycle management processes for parts, from design through obsolescence. Ensure alignment with overall product lifecycle management
  • Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with engineering teams to provide feedback on parts design and performance. Advocate for design improvements based on lifecycle data and analytics
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as a liaison between different departments to ensure alignment on parts lifecycle strategies and objectives
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilise data analytics tools to generate reports on parts performance and lifecycle metrics. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of MTBF and reliability metrics
  • Maintain an effective obsolete parts management program
  • Achieve established goals for parts reliability and lifecycle performance
  • Foster collaboration and communication across departments to drive lifecycle initiatives
  • Provide actionable insights to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency related to parts management.

What you'll need to succeed

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in parts lifecycle management, reliability engineering, or a related field (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and predictive modelling, especially using AI and machine learning techniques
  • Knowledge of reliability-centred maintenance principles and practices
  • Experiences with Kalmar products is an advantage
  • Ability to work within multinational and matrix organisations
  • Experience in the industrial OEM sector. Competencies
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software
  • Certification in reliability engineering (e.g., CRE, CMRP) is a plus
  • Experience with AI/ML platforms and tools (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow) is highly desirable
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with people, good team-player
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
