We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Product Owner to expand our portfolio of Strength Assessment and Collaboration solutions. This new position aims to diversify our portfolio, increase focus, and support our growth strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and delivering innovative software solutions for our global client base, helping them elevate their design processes and competitive edge. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, design, sales, and marketing, to create products that deliver customer value and business success. Your customers will be primarily based in Europe and Asia.
What you will be doing
- Overall product ownership of the Strength Assessment and Collaboration solutions: take care of the product's life-cycle management, manage new releases and deployment, and ensure the product is meeting customer and business needs.
- Develop and communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders
- Oversee product releases, incorporating market research, competitive analysis, and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, collaboration, and risk mitigation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with the product strategy and customer needs.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including customers, internal subject matter experts and development teams, to gather requirements and feedback.
- Participate in sprint planning meetings to ensure the team understands the product backlog items and their priorities.
- Plan and manage product releases, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions and identify opportunities.
What We Expect from You

At least 5 years of experience in a product owner or management role,
preferably in the field of engineering software solutions. - Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
- Clear Vision: Ability to form product vision and goals based on customers' and business needs and communicate them effectively to development teams.
- Ability to Prioritize: Effectively translate customer needs into the backlog and adhere to set priorities, ensuring that development teams focus on delivering the most valuable features and solutions.
- Business and Market Understanding: Ability to form a holistic understanding of the market and the competition, enabling informed, timely decisions based on this knowledge.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders and a wide range of experts in the technical field to create trust relationships.
- Good Leadership and Decision-Facilitation Skills: Decisions happen efficiently to guide the development team in the right direction.
- Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with various digital tools and platforms, demonstrating the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience in the ship design or classification domain
- Experience in information management solutions such as PLM/PDM systems.
