Your role and responsibilities
Would you like to work in a challenging role, with opportunities to execute and lead interesting power distribution, electrification and automation projects within the process industry? Are you a proactive person who enjoys building customer relations? We are now looking for a person with commercial project experience, who has a strategic mind and excellent negotiating skills. If you are up for a challenge, then you should become our new Project Manager at ABB Oy, Process Industries in Vaasa, Pirkkala or Helsinki.

In this position, you will support our customers belonging to ABB Business Lines Pulp & Paper, Metals, Mining and Growth Industries. Reporting to the Project Management Office Manager, you will uphold and elevate customer satisfaction by meeting all customer requirements and targets, delivering exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.

This position reports to Project Management Office Manager

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Leading the execution of domestic and international projects
- End to end responsibility of delivering projects within agreed scope, budget and schedule
- Monitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Analyzing and addressing project risks, and regularly disseminating lessons learned
- Working with other functions to coordinate contract negotiations and claims with customers
- Achieving project deliverables and compliance with contract requirements
- Building strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders
- Providing clear guidelines, tasks and milestones, while motivating and providing feedback to project team
- Managing and reporting of the project progress with project management system tools
- Planning competence and resource needs together with project Lead Engineer and Resource Managers

Qualifications for the role:
- Experience working as Project Manager in customer delivery projects
- Demonstrated experience in management of project scope, cost, schedules and vendors / sub-contractors
- A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Good command of English and Finnish is essential for successful, Swedish skills would be an advantage
- Earlier experience with ERP tools for e.g. SAP, MS project
