We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Project Manager, Information Management with proven experience in successfully delivering IT projects, and a strong, technology-driven mindset. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the IT project lifecycle and a track record of managing projects related to service business applications, process improvement, technology landscape transformation, and data management.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Planning and executing projects: Defining the scope, creating detailed plans, managing resources, and delivering on time and to a high standard.
- Managing stakeholders: Communicating effectively and building strong relationships with various groups, from business users to senior management.
- Handling risks and issues: Identifying potential problems, mitigating their impact, and escalating serious concerns when necessary.
- Ensuring quality: Implementing checks throughout the project to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
- Improving processes: Contributing to the development of better project management practices within the department.
- Continuous development: Staying up-to-date with new technologies in information management and proactively suggesting improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
Experience:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in managing information management projects within a complex organizational environment.
- Experience with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Experience in service-related application transformation projects, such as field service management, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
Competencies:
- Strong understanding of information management principles, concepts, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in an additional European language (both written and spoken) preferred.
- Located in Europe (at one of Kalmar's locations - Bulgaria, Finland, Poland, etc.).
