Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, was completed in November 2023. The 16,500 m² site houses research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof, which will create plenty of additional jobs.

What you’ll do:
Your main responsibility as SCM Planner Intern is to back up the Operational Buyers during the holiday time period. The position requires to ensure timely material purchasing and call-offs to fullfill production plan requirements (coverting requisitions into purchase orders, monitoring supplier confirmations, following shipment schedules and custom clearance duties). You will also respond to Material shortage queries from shop-floor and escalate shortages as required in addition to providing forecasts to suppliers.

- Contributing in creating and maintaining good working relations in the team as well as between other departments and locations
Other Responsibilities:
- Releasing purchase orders based on ERP MRP requirements and ensuring the purchasing cycle is complete until the goods are received.
- Maintaining and updating material MRP data in the ERP according as per instructions and Eaton processes (lead times, safety stock, re-order points, Lot sizes) to ensure optimized material availability.
- Identifying current and potential material shortages, working in close collaboration with Master Planner & Procurement team to avoid delays to the Production schedules and eventually mitigating Sales risks.
- Proactively escalating / reacting quickly to material shortages with suppliers in support with procurement team and work closely with Production Line Managers and Production Planners on a daily basis to support managing the production schedules.
- Collaborating closely with the Project engineering team on special requirements for customer specific projects for Eaton’s critical customers
- Supporting inventory checks to validate inventory accuracy, co-ordinating material flow to production along with Warehouse team.
- Checking and approving freight and supplier related invoices.
- Taking part in supplier meetings in cooperation with procurement team and bringing the feedback to the SCM team.
