Plant Engineering department is a part of Pulp & Energy business line, which supplies complete pulp mills and process equipment for chemical and mechanical pulp production, as well as biomass- and waste-fueled power plants, boiler islands and related environmental systems. The business line's customers are mainly pulp producers and power and heat producers. The most important geographical markets are Europe, South America and Asia.
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Plant Engineering team in Tampere or Raisio. We are looking for a person to concept team to take part of Boiler and Gasification plant sales activities. Boiler and Gasification plant layout solutions are designed in close cooperation with our customers and we produce information to other engineering disciplines.
As a Senior Engineer, in the sales phase, your knowledge is needed to create Boiler or Gasification plant layout drawings and 3D model together with Valmet product teams, sales and suppliers. You will participate in customer meetings and technical negotiations where you present layout concept for all parties.
You are the key player to ensure excellent information flow between different parties during the sales, especially when dealing with multiunit projects. Additionally, you occasionally participate to pulp mill and power plant layout coordination work on selected sales projects.You will influence in the future projects through development of our products and by participating in technology improvements through collaboration within Valmet.
Expectations:
We expect you to have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Preferably you have experience from layout engineering and knowledge of Pulp and Energy industries. Further experience in 3D CAD software's such as Aveva E3D and/or Dassault Systemes SolidWorks is a definite plus. In addition to this, it would be desirable to be able to work with Autodesk Autocad software as well.

You work independently, can manage your time and priorities even in quickly changing situations with several ongoing projects at the same time. It's essential to have fluent English skills, both written and oral. Naturally you will be willing to travel internationally from time to time.
