As Blueprint Genetics' Senior People Operations Manager, you will lead the people strategy and operations in the EMEA region. You will translate company strategy into concrete people actions and play a key role in driving HR functional excellence, process improvement, and supporting our organization across a variety of people-related topics. You will be an active member of the Helsinki Leadership team, ensuring that our People Operations team is closely aligned with the business. You will lead with care and enjoy working cross-functionally with all functions, including Operations, Quality, Finance, Sales, Software, and business leaders across all our locations.

You will join a global People Ops team and lead a team of three professionals based in Finland. You will report to the HR Director, based on the East Coast of the US. Together, you will support our growth while creating meaningful and strategic people initiatives. We hope you can join us in our office in Espoo, but you also have the flexibility to work remotely when needed. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with business leaders across the organization to understand their needs and proactively align people solutions with business objectives.
  • Providing executive and leadership coaching and being an active member of the Helsinki Leadership team.
  • Managing all HR functions in the EMEA region, including performance management, talent management, employee relations, workplace cooperation, and payroll and benefits.
  • Supporting global organizational changes and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Ensuring compliance with local legal and labor relations requirements, as well as adhering to BpG and parent company compliance standards.
  • Working closely with parent company HR to implement global processes and policies, identifying synergies and developing our collaboration.
  • Providing hands-on support across the employee lifecycle, with an emphasis on payroll, reporting, rewards, wellbeing, HRM, HRIS, and the development of these areas.
  • Leading a fantastic team of People Ops professionals, empowering them to deliver to their full potential.

Ideal candidate would have:

  • Several years of experience leading HR initiatives and people processes in an international environment, ideally within a matrix organization. Experience in a highly regulated field is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Finnish employment legislation, collective agreements, and workplace cooperation practices. Additional knowledge of national employment legislation (e.g., Germany, Spain, or other Nordic countries) is an advantage.
  • The ability to think strategically and align HR initiatives with business goals.
  • Previous experience partnering and driving the People agenda with Senior Leadership teams.
  • The ability to effectively manage and facilitate organizational change in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proven track record of solving complex employment-related matters, from wellbeing to performance issues.
  • Experience and genuine desire leading a team and people is essential. Coaching skills are a definite plus!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to promote clarity, trust, and build our culture.
  • The ability to occasionally adjust working hours in the evening to collaborate with colleagues across the Atlantic.

We believe you'll be a great fit if:

You enjoy working in a global matrix environment at the heart of People Operations. You can tackle organizational ambiguity and make an impact in an evolving, highly regulated, and fast-paced environment. You work independently and systematically to achieve concrete results, but you also thrive as part of a broader team, collaborating proactively. You bring new ideas to the table and are willing to roll up your sleeves when it comes to developing our processes and the employee experience that supports our strategic objectives. To optimally support our organization, you are supportive, empathetic, and have strong listening skills. Even in a high-growth and evolving environment, where things may not always be fully ready, you remain optimistic with a solution-oriented and forward-thinking mindset.

What we'll offer you:

  • The opportunity to work in an international company that makes a real difference - Blueprint Genetics has a clear and motivating purpose to improve the lives of patients and families affected by inherited diseases.

  • A positive, open, and international work environment with great people from diverse fields of expertise. We are a team of 250 experienced professionals who collaborate to drive genetic knowledge forward.
  • Flexible working conditions and employee benefits such as participation in a performance-based bonus system, extensive occupational healthcare with Heltti, sports, culture & wellbeing benefits, team events, and office parties.
