SITE MANAGER, Kajaani Borealis Finland ltd. is looking for a Site Manager for its data centers in Renforsin Ranta, Kajaani, Finland. The Site Manager oversees the daily operations of the Borealis data centers in Kajaani and serves as the central point for all technical infrastructure. The site manager is responsible for managing and reporting on the daily activities of the data center team while working in close collaboration with the engineering and shared services teams that support Borealis customers both in Finland and Iceland. Site manager participates in selected development projects with other Borealis teams. The position is located in Kajaani, Renforsin Ranta and requires traveling – both domestic and occasional international travel. The Site Manager reports to the Country Manager Finland.
Tasks include (not limited to)
Business Operations
• Analyzes operational data to plan improvement projects.
• Identifies opportunities for selling add-on services to existing customers and supports Country Manager preparing sales proposals for prospective customers.
• Prepares monthly KPI reports and other necessary reports for the accurate customer billing.
• Assists the Country Manager with annual budgeting and planning, executing, and reporting the operational budget.
• Assists the Country manager to maintain and develop partnership network for fluent collaboration in Kainuu area
Operational Management
• Manages daily data center operations, ensuring performance, safety, sustainability and uptime.
• Oversees access control, visitor processes, security processes and safety checks.
• Monitors and maintains the data center infrastructure in collaboration with the Borealis NOC and responds according to established processes and SLA agreements.
• Plans and executes the annual preventive and corrective maintenance schedule of physical infrastructure.
• Ensures that operational processes, procedures, and policy documents are maintained and evolved with a focus on continuous improvement.
Personnel Management
• Manages the daily activities of the operational team, ensuring efficiency and compliance with guidelines and customer contract service level agreements (SLA).
• Builds a safe and motivating working culture for both own staff and external workers.
• Represents high morale and business ethics in all of his/her actions.
• Integrates Kajaani team seamlessly into Borealis community with active collaboration and shared projects.
Customer Service
• Acts as the first point of contact for suppliers and customers, handling service requests and coordinating work schedules ("Remote Hands" services).
• Ensures that all customer service reports are accurate for billing purposes and quality control.
• Guides visitors and manages orders as well as receiving and shipping of products and materials.
