We are looking for Software Engineers to join our Industrial client's team. They have ongoing needs for experienced SW Engineers with backgrounds from industrial projects.
Main responsibilities:
- Creating work plans and cost estimates for the project organization and Service Customers in consultation with Project Managers
- Participating in project meetings with customers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and to interpret their needs.
- Creating specifications based on the customer requirements and implementing MES software and data integration applications.
- Hands on work in the project deliveries, such as programming, application configuration and supporting the commissioning
- Creating structured and maintainable SW/code and deliverables with right amount of documentation
- Preparing project documentation and execute project testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Performing analysis and identify issues in existing installations and implementing solutions
- Assisting in technical proposals and providing trainings to colleagues and customers
Requirements:
- Experience in Project or Service Execution in the implementation of MES solutions
- Ability to deliver complex software solutions and applications under demanding timelines
- Clear understanding of architecture and industrial data integration standards and conventions
- Data integration and interfacing across distributed control and information systems
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (for example Oracle PL/SQL)
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English
- Ability to travel from time to time to customer sites abroad
Seen as an advantage:
- Experience in Pulp & Paper Industry
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree from Process/Automation Engineering, Information Sciences, or another relevant field
- Finnish and Swedish language skill
Start: January
Duration: 12 months (probable extension)
Location: Hybrid working model and preferred locations are Helsinki, Varkaus or Oulu
Allocation: 100%
