About your role
We are looking for two enthusiastic Sourcing Managers for our teams. One of the positions is in the Outsourced Products team and the other in the Generics Products team.
In your role as a Sourcing Manager, you would ensure product availability and cost competitiveness by leading the supplier relationship process within your supplier portfolio. Driving continuous improvement throughout the supply chain process and optimizing end-to-end supply chain efficiency would be part of your responsibilities. With your contribution, you would ensure that service level, total cost and launch targets are achieved. This involves both operational and managerial tasks related to the supplier relationships.
You would report to either the Head of External Supply Operations, Outsourced Products or the Head of External Supply Operations, Generics Products.
The positions are permanent and based in Espoo or Turku, Finland. The work requires travelling abroad but mainly you work in the office or remotely (hybrid work possibility).
Your key responsibilities
- You manage a selected supplier base in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- You manage the supply, availability and profitability of the products.
- You support new business opportunities, secure on-time launches and contribute to projects.
- You plan and lead strategic actions and risk management activities with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- You collaborate with several internal stakeholders such as business, quality, product lifecycle management, regulatory affairs and packaging technology.

- An applicable university degree
- Enthusiasm towards working in supplier management, procurement and sourcing

- Skills and experience in supply chain activities and strategic procurement or another relevant field
- Excellent co-operation, leadership and networking skills
- An eye for details, but also understanding of the big picture
- Relevant experience from pharmaceutical industry (e.g., from supplier management, procurement, production, product life-cycle management, or quality management) is an advantage
- Experience and enthusiasm with analytical tools is an advantage
- Fluent in English and Finnish, because we are working with both languages

Unit description
Orion's Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management.
In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (Externally Sourced Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development.
The External Supply Operations (ESO) process is one of the three main processes within Orion Global Operations. We are responsible for the supplier management of the supplier portfolio including more than 150 suppliers globally. Our key targets are service level, total cost and compliance (GMP/EHS). Our work is directly impacting on the success of Orion's key business areas and we work closely in order to align our targets with the business specific targets.
