What kind of summer job awaits you?

Metsä Group's Technology Group Services Energy team serves the mills in all our operating countries. The team's work is highly diversified, including managing the overall energy production and market, supporting emissions trading and closely related energy efficiency development in the process.

Metsä Group is continuously developing its operational processes. Energy production as one of the main supporting processes to the mills is in focus for the summer job. The summer job in the Energy team is related to the energy technology as well as production planning and reporting systems. The work supports planning and reporting system development including the practical procedures and activities required for harmonization. The work is part of on-going development project.

What we expect from you?

We are looking for a second or third-year engineering student with knowledge of the energy production and technologies, cloud computing and datalakes. Successful performance of tasks requires self-initiative, good co-operation skills and knowledge of energy technology. Experience in the use of databases and excellent Excel skills will be an advantage in the selection process. Good command of English is essential. Work place is at Metsä Group headquarters in Espoo. The task requires traveling to our mills in Finland.

Personal details such as name, mother tongue, time of studies, name of educational institution and contact details are hidden until the interview stage. Attachments (such as CVs) are also hidden.

Recruiters have access to the contact details of those invited for interview once the applicant has been selected for interview.

Our system will guide you through the application process. The questions on the application form will help you present your skills and experience anonymously. Answer all questions carefully. If you're invited for interview, your CV will be displayed to the recruiters to support the interview.

Note that attachments won't be visible in anonymous recruitment until the interview stage, so it's important to fill in the application form carefully. We process applications and select summer employees already during the application period.
