As a Summer Trainee - Aggregates Research at our Research & development team in Tampere, you will work with some of the following tasks:
- Conduct rock testing to evaluate material properties and performance.
- Perform screen analysis and other specialized tests in the research center's rock laboratory.
- Analyze test results to determine material characteristics and suitability for various applications.
- Report and document test results accurately in our different systems.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of testing methodologies.
Who you are
- A higher degree study background in for example materials science and engineering, civil engineering, or environmental engineering.
- A positive and spontaneous can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work.
- Eagerness to learn more, develop, and succeed in the role.
- An ability to work as part of a team, while also working independently on certain tasks.
- Good skills in MS Office tools. Fluent in verbal and written English communication skills. Finnish is a plus.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2065-2875 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
