We are looking for a
Summer Trainee, R&D Test engineer, Hydraulics
to join Normet's R&D Testing and Validation in Iisalmi, on 1st May, - 31th August, 2025.
The team is responsible for testing the very latest R&D prototypes and its mission is to verify functionality of the prototypes, provide feedback to the design team and to actively participate in improving the designs. We are looking for a summer trainee to strengthen our testing team capabilities in the field of hydraulics.
In this position, you will participate in measuring prototype hydraulics, diving into hydraulic schematics and studying the findings with our hydraulic design team. Responsibilities and tasks may be adjusted based on competence, studies and subject of personal interest.
Main responsibilities and tasks:

Define test and measurement plan for prototype hydraulics

Conduct hydraulic measurements for prototypes

Analyze and share findings with R&D hydraulics experts
To shine in this position, we hope you have:

Finishing your studies in B.Eng or M.Sc (tech) studies in relevant field

Studies or experience from mobile hydraulic systems and measuring equipment are considered as an advantage

Good communication skills in Finnish and English

A can-do and results-driven attitude

Able to work both independently and as part of a team

A proactive working style and eagerness to learn
