We are now looking for a Research Trainee to Packaging Paper development at UPM North Europe Research Center in Lappeenranta.

What you will do

• Plan, execute and report laboratory scale trials related to barrier paper development
• Utilize different laboratory methods to characterize barrier layers' properties
• Utilize and develop methods to characterize material suitability for different packaging applications

Who you are

• We are looking for students with focus on paper converting and packaging, wood based bioproducts, chemistry or food sciences and who have already advanced in their studies
• You have a positive and hands-on attitude, eagerness to learn new things and to take initiative and responsibility
• You feel comfortable working in laboratory, also independently
• You have good verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and in English
