Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Team Leader, Mechanical at ABB Oy, Large Motors & Generators in Helsinki.

Together with the highly skilled and forward-thinking mechanical engineering team, you have a key role in driving superior customer experience, fulfillment of customer requirements, project engineering on time and quality and continuous development. Team Leader will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Management, R&D, Production and Supply Chain.

Your ambition is to place customer first and build and maintain customer relationships, as well as provide innovative solutions to meet customer requirements. You enjoy motivating and guiding your team, developing talent, as well as creating an atmosphere, which encourages continuous improvement.

This position reports to Manager, Engineering.

You will be mainly accountable for:
- Leading the mechanical engineering team in challenging projects- Ensuring that we can deliver quick results and design quality to our customers
- Coordinating project schedules and ensuring that quality and mechanical engineering tasks are done in time
- Assigning tasks to mechanical engineers and supporting electrical engineers with high-quality mechanical solutions
- Participating in customer and production meetings

We offer hybrid work model. The role requires presence in Helsinki approximately 50% of working time.

Qualifications for the role:
- Several years' experience in a relevant field and proven leadership skills
- Understanding of database mechanical engineering systems such as Teamcenter
- Good knowledge of 2D and 3D engineering software such as ACAD and PDM
- Experience in SAP or other ERP tools
- Fluent written and spoken communication skills in Finnish and good English skills
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in mechanical engineering or an equivalent degree
