Trainee, Data Center Networks

We are seeking a Network Trainee to join our team. In this position you will have the opportunity to learn and develop networking skills under the guidance of professionals and gain hands-on experience with data center operations and network device installations

You will work alongside an experienced team and develop your skills in the following areas:

- Physical work in a data center

- Installation and configuration of network devices in a data center environment

- Implementation and management of networks

- Configuration and maintenance of routing and switching

- Firewall openings and management

- Documentation and other related tasks

We expect from you:

- Focus on the field of networking or IT (e.g., IT student)

- Understanding of network protocols

- Experience with networking devices (e.g., routers, switches) is an advantage

- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and its importance in network management

- Interest in working in a data center environment and performing physical installation of network

devices

- Problem-solving and proactive working style

- Good teamwork skills and willingness to learn

Location: Kajaani

We are also looking for two enthusiastic Summer Trainees to join our Cloud Infrastructure and Kubernetes Platform teams. These positions offer a chance to learn by doing, supported by a collaborative team working on real-world challenges in exciting technology areas. These trainee positions are ideal for university and university of applied sciences students, particularly in the fields of information technology, computer science or data engineering.

Trainee, Cloud Infrastructure

Ever wondered how cloud services are built and maintained? Our team handles tasks like networking, system architecture, API debugging, hardware planning, and supporting customers or teammates. Of course, no one does all this alone! You'll get a chance to try out tasks that match your skills and learn how everything fits together.

Trainee, Kubernetes Platform

You'll gain hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters, Linux servers, and optimizing performance. Opportunities also include working on automation with tools like Ansible, contributing to documentation, and supporting troubleshooting tasks.

For Cloud Infrastructure and Kubernetes Platform teams, we are seeking a trainee with a basic understanding of Linux.

Familiarity with any of the following is a bonus:

• Server administration

• Cloud services

• Docker/Kubernetes

• Git, Ansible

• Puppet

• Python

• Bash

An interest in automation and cloud technologies is always welcome. Also if you have a hobby project related to IT, we are more than happy to hear more about it!

Don't worry if you're not an expert in the above mentioned areas yet - we're here to guide you. The tasks you'll work on will depend on your background and interests.

Our summer trainees usually work from May to August, but other dates are also possible. The duration is usually 3-4 months.

Traineeship is paid. The salary depends on the stage of studies but is at least 2100 €/month.

The selected candidate will be subject to a drug screening and a basic security clearance. The requirement for the employment relationship is that the security clearance does not reveal any noteworthy factors.
